5/12/2020 0 Comments Latest copywriting workThanks to lockdown it's certainly been a strange few weeks, and I seem to have expanded my services from comms and copywriting into home tutoring, gardening and catering. I've even found myself cementing patio cracks and sewing bunting!
Now I've finally found some time to add a few recent projects to this site. In the past year the demand for copy has really grown and I've enjoyed writing on some highly diverse topics, from entertaining children in lockdown, to reviewing business apps to help us work from home to business survival. A fairly new and fascinating client is Running for Science, a medical project looking at the effect of marathon running on the hip and knee joints. Their extensive research has shown that marathon training actually improves the condition of joints. While the science hasn't yet persuaded me to sign up to run 26 miles, it makes for a fascinating topic for weekly articles and social media. I've also been getting to grips with an enormously diverse range of exhibitions run by Reed, as part of a project to support with a vast number of visitor and exhibitor emails. It's been fascinating to understand the key issues in cosmetics formulation, Arabian travel, vertical flight and drone manufacturing and oceanology. I think that's what I love most about my work - there's always something new to learn! In recent weeks, however, that learning has been more about vertical angles, non-chronological reporting and fronted adverbials in my children's schoolwork... and as a consequence I have more respect for teachers than ever.

12/3/2018 1 Comment Blogs in 2018It's been a busy year for blog writing as customers seek to keep their sites relevant and updated - not least because it helps a lot with Google rankings.
I have a number of regular blog clients, including: Workingmums - content for Dads and advice pieces Progressive Lets - weekly postings for landlords and tenants WIL Group - a global interim management group. I supply articles on key business topics Russam GMS - a UK interim management company I'm also writing a lot of other blog posts for clients via a great local comms agency that I've been working with. 5/3/2018 1 Comment Setting a bad example![]() Well. It would seem that I haven't updated this page since 2016. As any comms person will tell you, that's extremely poor website management! Lucky for me that I'm not relying on the site to drive new business - all Faithful's projects so far have been through people I've worked with before. I'm honoured when people are kind enough to recommend me. So why haven't I written anything here lately? The usual excuse... I've been busy writing content for other people instead. In March I completed the world's longest three month contract - it originally started in April 2016 and was extended at least three times. I was part of the comms team for a mental healthcare charity in Northampton - a great place to work and a fascinating one too. What started as interim cover became a website relaunch project, and then I moved onto an internal transformation programme. I was sad to leave a great team, but excited to move on to my next contract with a PR and communications agency in Peterborough. I'm here for the summer, four days a week, helping out in busy times. I do love agency work, particularly because of the atmosphere and the huge variety of things I'm tasked with. With all that going on, who knows when I'll be posting next...! |
