One of the biggest myths about freelancing or running a tiny micro business is that you’re out there doing everything alone. Just you, your laptop, your seventh cup of tea, and a to-do list that seems to replenish itself while you sleep. What made it work so well was that our skills didn’t just align—they complemented each other perfectly. Where Lisa brought deep medical knowledge and technical insight, I brought communications clarity, structure, storytelling and the power to get stuff done. Before long, we were working together like a well-rehearsed double act. It’s amazing how far a simple shared curiosity and openness to opportunity can take you. Collaborating with micro businesses is powerful because:
Here’s to more shared projects, surprising opportunities, and the brilliant micro businesses that make freelance life feel anything but lonely.
